Produced in Kagoshima, Japan, Seijaku is crafted from carefully selected Japanese tea leaves and finely stone-ground into a silky powder. When whisked with water, it develops a beautifully smooth texture with gentle umami, subtle vegetal notes and a clean finish. Its restrained bitterness and balanced profile make it particularly enjoyable prepared traditionally with water, while its character also holds beautifully in a matcha latte.

The name Seijaku evokes stillness and tranquillity, reflecting the philosophy behind this matcha: a moment to slow down, prepare carefully and enjoy something simple with intention. From measuring the powder with a bamboo chashaku to whisking it into a fine layer of foam, Seijaku transforms an everyday drink into a small ritual.

For traditional preparation, sift approximately 1.5–2 g of Seijaku, add 60–70 ml of water at around 70–80°C, then whisk briskly with a bamboo chasen until smooth and lightly frothy. For a matcha latte, prepare the matcha first with a small amount of water before adding your preferred milk.
